Skytree

A Skytree level is a genre of level, usually vertical, that requires the player to trigger the growing of a vine at the bottom of the screen and race the vine up the screen, triggering blocks along the way to allow the vine to continue growing unimpeded.

Origin

The name for this genre, as well as many of its elements, is directly derived from the level Skytree in Kaizo Mario World 3 by T. Takemoto.
